Edd last Student this week.

I have had a very busy week with three Students and completing an order for a Gallery.
I was very tired this morning as I had been doing a Demo in out local Club until just before ten last night.
Thankfully my Student today Edd was good company and easy to teach so the day flew by .
Edd turned a nice Beech bowl with a concave rim.

Very well done Edd

A great day with Martin.

My Student today was Martin from Abergavenny a real fun person with a great sense of humour.
Martin has a lathe and equipment and wanted to brush up on his woodturning skills.
He was a bit rusty but after a days practice on his bowl turning he made a super Beech bowl with a textured and coloured rim as you can see in the following pic.
I hope Martin returns at a later date because he is such great company.

Happy Birthday Ian

I have three Students this week and if they are all as easy as Ian it will be an easy week.
I have been teaching woodturning now for about ten years and in that time I could probably count on two hands the Students that I know could make it to being a great turners and Ian is one of them. Ian took to turning like he had been doing it for years it was so easy and natural to him.Ian was here as a Birthday present from his future in laws his Birthday is tomorrow.
Ian has been given an old lathe and some tools to be going on with.
Very very well done today Ian keep it up and you will make a great turner.

This is the lovely Bowl Ian turned today

A good old Biker Boy

Les my Student today is a Harley man looking for a new hobby.
Les's Wife Marion treated him to a days Woodturning Tuition to get him out from under her feet.
I think Les will be taking up turning in the near future and I hope he does because he took to it like a duck to water.
