Marilyn Campbell and George Foweraker Piece
At my recent visit to the AWGB Seminar I attended a demonstration by Marilyn Campbell.
A lot of Marilyn's work is a combination of different coloured woods bonded together with epoxy to create the most beautifully pieces.
In her demo Marilyn made some blanks ready for turning and two of these were given for the evening auction.
I was lucky enough to win one of these and the following pics will show you what I made out of it.
It is a very simple dish so as to show off Marilyn's work not my turning.
When I made this piece I was very nervous as I knew I only had one go at it as I will never get another one.

The Gallery at the AWGB Seminar.
I have just returned from the AWGB Seminar at Loughborouge University.
Two hundred woodturners all in one place for three days I expect you can guess what the conversation was about.
Below are some pictures I took of the work that was displayed.
The quality of the work was absolutely stunning and what really surprised me was the amount of coloured and textured work on display
