David was treated to a days Woodturning experiance by his Partner Debra.
David turned a very respectable Sycamore bowl with a coloured and textured wide rim.
Great company and easy to teach.

Processing Blanks

Yesterday I picked up some very nice Sycamore and today I spent most of the day processing them into Bowl blanks.
Some of these are for Teaching and some I will sell to recover some of my costs.

Tom and Rosy

Tom was treated to a days woodturning experiance by his Wife Rosy who joined him for the day
This was a Birthday present for Tom .
We had a very nice relaxed day and they both went away with very nicely turned Bowls as you can see in the following picture.

Walnut 4 Bowl

Yesterday just for fun I turned a bowl with 4 centres today I made one with 5 centres and found it was quite a bit harder

Tri Bowl

Something differant it is also  a consideration for a Club Demo. 9" x 2" Turned from Macrocarpa.consideration for This took  exactly one hour and five minutes I would be pushed to do it in a 2 hour Demo with explaining how it is done inc marking out

Making Stock

These are all turned from Yew some are going into stock and some are going to customers.
I find I am getting slower in my old age these took me most of two days but part of it is my tea breaks are getting longer and more frequent.

A day with Bruce.

Bruce has two lath's a Shopsmith and a Sip but due to time restraints they have had very little use.
Now he has had some tuition he has ne excuse not to get Turning.
Bruce was great company and easy to work with.
Bruce turned a very respectable Spalted Beech bowl.

A day with Don

Don is a retired Carpenter so has a good understanding of wood and how it works .Although he had not done a lot of Woodturning it came easy to him.
Don turned a very nice spalted Beech Bowl.
